INFORMATION
The Trocard family has a long tradition as wine growers since the XVIth century.
Old parchments dated 1628 testify that Jean-Louis Trocard ancestors had vineyards.
- The Trocard family had vine plots in the district of Fronsac.
- The Renard family had vines located in the "Petit Faurie" area, district of Saint-Emilion.
At the end of the XVIIIth century, a branch of the Renard family moved to Artigues de Lussac, place where the Trocard Vineyards are presently located. In the course of the XIXth century, The Trocard family also settled in Artigues de Lussac and lived there close to the Renard family.

Wine Description :
Château Franc La Rose is located on a clay and lime plateau in St-Christophe des Bardes. The vines consist of 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and have an average of 40 years. Throughout the whole year, the vineyard is subject to a very intense care in order to obtain the best from this terroir: careful pruning with sorting of grapes picked by hand. After a vinification in compliance with the Bordeaux winemaking traditions with a 4-to-5 weeks of maceration, Château Franc La Rose ages 18 months in oak barrels.

The dress is dark red, sustained. The nose has notes of ripe and crunchy red fruits, accompanied by more toasted, spicy notes, brought by the aging in barrels. Beautiful aromatic complexity. The mouth is suave and greedy, with a nice finesse of tannins. Harmonious wine with a beautiful elegance.

The dress is a deep red color, very strong. The nose is fresh, greedy, with notes of intense red fruits. Slightly brioche, vanilla notes brought by a well-balanced oak. It is characterized by its finesse and its very present fruitiness. The mouth is round, ample and fleshy. We find the aromatic whole with a nice balance on the tannins. They will be present while keeping their silky side.

Chateau Hauts-Jays is produced on the gravelly plateau of Artigues de Lussac (ancient bank of isle valley). The ferruginous subsoil conveys delicate and pervasive aromas to this wine. Harvested at perfect maturity and submitted to a 3-to-4 week maceration, it is bottled after 18 montsh of maturation in vats. This wine endowed with a smooth and powerful structure, can be tasted in its prime years and is also perfectly fit for ageing.
