The Trocard family has a long tradition as wine growers since the XVIth century.
Old parchments dated 1628 testify that Jean-Louis Trocard ancestors had vineyards.
- The Trocard family had vine plots in the district of Fronsac.
- The Renard family had vines located in the "Petit Faurie" area, district of Saint-Emilion.
At the end of the XVIIIth century, a branch of the Renard family moved to Artigues de Lussac, place where the Trocard Vineyards are presently located. In the course of the XIXth century, The Trocard family also settled in Artigues de Lussac and lived there close to the Renard family.
