Wine made in exceptional vintages from tempranillo grapes growing in four particular vineyardsin Gimileo, in the heart of the Rioja Alta.
On their arrival at the bodega the grapes are lightly destalked in the traditional way. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks with over-sized entrances. The fermenting wine is macerated with manual pumping-over until it arrives at its maximum potential for-crianza- ageing, first in French oak barrels for 13 months and a further 2 months in American oak. As the wine has not been filtered at any stage, some sediment may occur in the bottle as a result of its natural state.
